The Craftsman is a loose narrative told through poetry and images. Themes of God, life, death, father figures and the afterlife are dealt with on a general level, leaving each reader the opportunity to connect with the material in their own way.

The narrative is broken up into two chapters. Chapter one, titled creation, contains black and white imagery and deals with our connection to God and awareness of inevitable death. Chapter two, titled completion, gradually switches over to bright color and represents a choice to ignore the inevitability of death and instead revel in what life is.

Struggling with these images for years, I finally found their purpose by pairing them with poetry and presenting them in a book.
